Switzerland was an absolute dream, and I am not exaggerating when I say it left me speechless every where I looked. I constantly felt like I was inside of a painting because there really is nothing like the Swiss Alps.
I got off the train at Interlaken but took another train and spent the majority of my visit in Grindelwald, surrounded by some of the greatest mountains in the world. This village is exactly what you would imagine when you think of Switzerland. I mean, I kid you not. I woke up to a man herding cows the first morning, and the next morning I woke up to sheep baaing and being herded by a dog. It was so unreal.
Because of the hills and the mountains, public transportation wasn’t at all easily accessible, but honestly I really couldn’t complain. With views like these, walking two miles to the bus station at 7am was a breeze. From the bus station, I took a couple trains to get to the top of the Jungfrau, which was one of the grandest, most breathtaking sights I have ever seen.
There’s really nothing I can say to describe Switzerland that can possibly do the place any justice. It’s just one of those “you have to be there” moments that make you realize that God is the greatest artist of all time.
Next stop: Paris, France. Stay tuned for my next post!
Thanks for doing life with moi!
