Sometimes you wake up, get ready and put on a sweater because it’s mid-January. You’re ready for a victorious day. You walk out the door, and you start sweating before you even get to your car.
Life’s like that sometimes, and nothing irks me more.
I’m the kind of person that wants to know what happens next, the kind of person who wants to know what happens in the end of the movie. (Coming from the girl who knew Dan was Gossip Girl since season 4 and did not hold back on sharing that conspiracy with all my friends)
I would’ve been so upset and probably emotionally unprepared if I found out Dan wasn’t Gossip Girl. It’s mid-January, and it’s been sunny and 75 the past few days. You can only imagine how upset and emotionally unprepared I am now.
But again, that’s just life.
Nothing’s certain until it happens, and that’s what I’m trying so hard to keep in mind while I’m preparing myself for graduation and applying to jobs. Maybe I won’t get the job I want, or maybe I won’t get a job at all.
But hey, when the expected chilly weather calls an audible, you pull out a flattering dress and sandals. When life calls audibles on your future, just be prepared. Keep an open mind. Don’t be butthurt, and be ready to take on anything that may come unexpectedly.
My dress is from Banana Republic. I haven’t worn it much because it makes me feel like a grown up, and I don’t know if I’m quite ready for that yet.
These minimalistic nude sandals with flared heels are Steve Madden, and I love the metallic faset. It’s subtle. It adds a more formal feel but still keeps the outfit really casual.
My new bag is from Henri Bendel. It’s the Lizard Uptown Satchel, and I’m so excited about it because it’s big, spacious, chic. Also, it has a removable strap, so I can wear it as a satchel or a shoulder bag.
Thanks for doing life with moi!
